Ahead of The Curve: A Romantic Dinner In Style

Interior Designer and owner of Recycled Consign and Design in Cedar City, Amanda Hill is a monthly columnist and design consultant for Alive! Utah.

If you're like me, the hassle of fighting the mobs for a romantic
Valentine dinner, makes you break out in hives.
Right?

Who wants to go watch weird people who probably only go out together on that one night to proclaim their love in awkward moments of PDA?

You know they are going to unveil flowers to their significant other so the whole restaurant has to watch, while she cries out of embarrassment or self gratification.

This is harsh I know.
But you are alone right now so nobody has to know you secretly agree.
You have witnessed this horror......we all have.
I find the idea of hosting a small intimate dinner with maybe 4~6 guest,
much more special.
It can be a simple process with only minimal effort on your part.
It’s all in the details....the food could be store bought or delivery.
What really matters is the romantic story you provide.

Really, a look like this could cost you little to no money.
You may have most of it laying around.
Candles, candles, candles.
It is pretty hard to over do this detail.
So go hog wild!
If you are a master chef and really want to pull out all the stops
today is the day to put the details into heart shaped food.

This little site has everything your romantic side could think of in edible hearts.

Drinks are such an important detail.
Make sure your guests are given a lovely one in-hand the second you take their coat.

Be adventurous and host your own PDA free
Valentine's dinner this year.
It may just be the best date night you’ll have.
Wink wink!
