GIVEAWAY EXTENDED FOR ONE MORE WEEK -- Lions Club of Cedar City has extended this giveaway until April25th.

The weather is warming up and Spring is blowing in. Time for a Spring giveaway. This week our giveaway is sponsored by Cedar City Lion's Club Kite Flight for Reading and Sight.

This fun event and organization helps raise funds every year for schools in Iron County. To get you excited about the event they are giving away a free kite ($20 value) from Breakin Wind and a $10 Maggie Moos Gift card.

The mission of the Kite Flight for Reading & Sight is fivefold:

1. Provide a wholesome, uplifting, family-oriented event where everyone can participate regardless of experience, training, financial means or physical abilities.

2. Promote reading as a fundamental basis of education for every child of elementary school age.
3. Provide funding to purchase eye glasses and eye surgeries for children in need to enable improved learning.

4. Support education with additional funding and make that funding available to selected participating schools at the discretion of the Cedar City Lions Club Board of Directors.

5. Patronize those members of the business community whose financial sponsorship make the Kite Flight for Reading and Sight possible.
